Local Charity Pickup Service, servicing the MD, VA and DC market.

Supports Savers vision by operating a tractor and trailer for local pickup and delivery of product at stores in a professional manner.  Drivers are responsible for completing deliveries and pickups at local stores. Daily functions include, but are not limited to truck inspections, mapping, and lifting, carrying, and loading large and/or odd shaped items. In addition, this role requires accurate record keeping of route data, driver’s log and truck maintenance records as required by DOT.

Detailed Description

• Safely maneuver and operate a Double Axle Tractor and trailer up to 53ft in length through commercial streets and tight spaces
• Understand how to use and follow GPS directions
• Complete all required daily paperwork including vehicle inspection, delivery reports and maintenance forms
• Assist other drivers with work when needed
• Responsible for ensuring trucks are clean, swept, and ready for use at the start of another shift
• Check vehicles to ensure proper safety and work conditions are in compliance with Savers policies and State/DOT laws
• Employment is conditional on receiving a DOT Medical Card as well as having a clean Motor Vehicle Report within the last three years
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education, Training and Experience

• Hold a valid CDL-A License with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent 21 years of age or older
• 3 + years’ clean driving record
• Prior driving experience
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
