The Operations Analyst contributes to GreenDrop’s success by providing the Logistics, Warehouse, Production, and Supply Chain teams accurate business insight to maximize financial performance. This includes deep dives into all levels of the business, facility-level analytical rigor and simplifying large sums of data to provide focused guidance for Logistics Managers, Regional Managers and Senior Leadership.

This highly visible role will work in collaboration with all functions of the business (Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, IT) on improving end to end operations for the organization.  This is an exciting role for someone that is looking to have vast exposure to an entire business model and the opportunity to work on projects across a wide spectrum of business operations. This candidate will also help to lead administrative employees from time to time that work with GreenDrop data collection and entry.

The Operations Analyst position is managed by the Senior Manager, Planning & Analytics but is able to work with minimal direction. Strong competence is evidenced with the various tools, procedures and programming languages used to accomplish the job. This position should hold prior work experience and education in areas such as: Production / Manufacturing, Operations Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment Methodologies, Distribution/ Material Handling, Retail Store Operations, Lean Six Sigma..

Responsibilities:

  • Support Logistics, Production, Finance, IT & Supply Chain Teams using planning, forecasting and analytics methodology
  • Develop value add reports designed for end users that provide key, simplified insights
  • Identify business trends and engage with Managers to maximize KPIs as well as production level targets and labor efficiencies
  • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations to organizational leaders
  • Aggregate and analyze large sums of data and present actionable findings and recommendations
  • Connect complex operational metrics to financial results, aid in the budgeting and P&L process
  • Be a hands-on presence in the field, visiting donation sites and distribution facilities to observe, analyze, and work with Managers; providing operating direction and improvement recommendations
  • Build structure into data analytics through a high level of planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new systems to pull and analyze data effectively and create reporting
  • Optimize the seasonal back stock process
  • Assist in the supervision of a small team of administrative staff
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations
  • Ability to think creatively about a project or initiative and handle any additional work assigned by his/her management team

  • Planning, forecasting or analytics background preferred

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, MIS, Statistics or related field required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft (MS) Excel
  • Ability to travel to donation site or logistics center locations across the US as required (~10% Travel)

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics or BI role, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills & abilities
  • Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma concepts

Other Information:

  • Location – Hybrid
    • Remote and occasional in-office in Bensalem PA
    • Remote work will be more readily available once established, candidate ideally within driving distance of our Bensalem PA offices
