What you’ll be working on-

 

Summary:

 

The Sr. Employment Compliance Manager supports Savers’ commitment to ensuring adherence to employment practices and compliance across the organization in US and Canada. The Sr. Employment Compliance Manager reports to the Director, Team Member Relations and Employment Law Compliance.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and assess areas of significant business risks
  • Review business documentation, processes, and practices
  • Develop and execute organizational compliance framework and strategies
  • Develop and implement internal audit policies and procedures in alignment with industry business best practices
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance procedures across the organization to include training of policy and procedures and/or compliance protocols
  • Monitor compliance in US and Canada, manage risk by providing guidance for solution focused results • Perform compliance audits and reporting; to include breaches and exposures
  • Conduct investigations into identified or reported risks
  • Coordinate and work with business partners to collect and coordinate internal compliance data
  • Research industry compliance regulations and policies
  • Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance to company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and update existing policies and related documentation.
  • Consistently monitor and stay tuned into regulatory changes and developments
  • Develop, write, and execute new policies; this includes updates of existing policies
  • Communicate and provide training to management and other departments/areas of business operations in a way that others can clearly understand and, in turn be able to lead compliance
  • Develop and maintain recordkeeping standards/policies/procedures
  • Subject matter expert for compliance related (new and existing) technology platforms such as payroll and HRMS systems/programs
  • Manage US and Canada Employment Compliance Team Members

 

What you have-

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working in multi-state, multi-provincial organization
  • Experience in compliance analysis and extensive knowledge of US and CAN industry compliance requirements, standards, regulations, and governing laws
  • High Proficiency with MS Office; specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and compliance management software/reporting
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual thought-leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data into accurate and thorough compliance analysis for presentation to director and executive teams.
  • Ability to draft policy and procedural guidelines for employment law compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage projects and meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task

 

 

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

 

  • 8 + years’ experience working in a multi-state (US), multi-provincial (CAN) public company.
  • 8 + years’ experience or equivalent in compliance analysis and reporting or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry compliance requirements, standards, regulations, and governing laws in US and Canada
  • Demonstrated high-proficiency in office, Excel, Power BI and compliance management software/ reporting
  • Proven analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication.
  • Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).
