Business Analyst – BI/Analytics
Summary:
Savers is investing in business intelligence and data-driven decision support. The Business Analyst role will contribute to this effort through analytical rigor, data modeling proficiency, and report development. This includes simplifying large sums of data to provide focused guidance for field leadership to maximize financial performance. This role reports to the Sr. Manager Business Intelligence and Analytics.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide oversight and expertise in data modeling in Power BI and Snowflake
- Design and develop data models, cubes, and reports to support enterprise level reporting needs using best practices
- Documentation of data models and schemas that underpin production environment reports
- Perform testing and troubleshooting and engage with business partners in requirement gathering, status updates, report design, and testing.
- Administration and oversight of the company’s Power BI environment, including users, workspaces, reports, usage, and capacity needs
- Collaborate with IT business partners to maintain and support BI platforms
- Use advanced modeling and analytics to provide actionable insights to the business
- Generate value add reports designed for the end user that provide focused, high impact insights
- Identify business trends and engage with business partners to maximize financial performance
- Intellectual curiosity – be a thought leader in the business
- Go deep at the customer, product, store, and market level to promote and standardize best practices
- Deliver informative, well organized presentations on findings or status updates
- Communicate effectively across a matrix of key stakeholders
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Near expert-level Excel modeling skills
- Strong proficiency with Power BI and DAX
- Advanced data modeling SQL skills
- Ability to aggregate and analyze large sums of data and translate actionable findings to executive audiences and business partners
- Promote data driven decisions and strategies with business partners
- Connect complex operational metrics to financial results

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or a related field
- 3 years experience in BI role, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required BI/Analytics knowledge, skills & abilities; strong BI/Analytics background and comfort level
- 1 years experience working with the Power BI environment including workspaces and apps
- Prefer 2 years of retail or manufacturing industry experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
- Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
- Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
